Hostmade guides
Everything you can do with your Hostmade site and promo video — from connecting a custom domain to editing in plain language and taking direct bookings.
Getting started
- Create your sitePaste your Airbnb or Hipcamp listing link and Hostmade builds a one-page website and a narrated promo video automatically — usually in a few minutes.
- Change your subdomainChange your site's hostmade.co subdomain in the site's Settings panel in the Hostmade dashboard. The new address takes effect immediately.
- Put your site on a custom domainLet Hostmade register a brand-new domain and set it up automatically — no DNS to touch — or connect a domain you already own. HTTPS included either way.
Editing your site
- Edit your siteOpen your site's editor and describe the change in plain language. Hostmade proposes an edit you can accept into a draft, then publishes all your changes at once.
- Change your photosDescribe the photo change in your site's editor — set the hero, hide or feature a photo, reorder them, or choose which photos appear in each section.
- Reorder sectionsAsk the editor to reorder your page sections — for example "swap section 1 and 2" or "move the location section to the end." Each section keeps its own photos.
- Change video narrationUse Re-narrate in your site's menu to rewrite the narration script or pick a new voice. The video is rebuilt from your photos and the updated script.
- Change your designChange your site's theme, layout, dark or light mode, and colors from the Design panel — or just ask the editor, e.g. "make it coastal" or "switch to dark mode."
- Add your logoUpload your logo in the Hostmade dashboard and it appears in your site's header in place of the text wordmark.
Direct booking
- Set up direct bookingTurn on direct booking, paste your Airbnb availability (iCal) export link, and guests can check your live calendar and send booking requests right on your site.
- Manage booking requestsBooking requests arrive in your dashboard inbox with a pending-count badge and an email notification. Open a request to confirm or decline it.
- Use your own booking linkIn the site's Settings, paste your own booking URL and label. Your site's booking buttons will link out to it instead of showing the on-site request form.
Keeping it current
- Update from your listingUse Check for listing updates to re-import your Airbnb or Hipcamp listing — new photos, edited description, and details — and rebuild your site with the changes.
- Apply enhancementsWhen Hostmade ships improvements, your site shows an Enhancements available prompt. Click Apply enhancements to rebuild your site with the latest features.
- View your analyticsHostmade shows first-party, cookieless analytics in your dashboard — visits, how much of your video people watch, booking-link clicks, and photo engagement.
