How do I change my Hostmade site's web address (subdomain)?
Every Hostmade site gets a free address like yourplace.hostmade.co. To change it, open the site's Settings in your dashboard and edit the subdomain — the new address takes effect right away.
How to change your subdomain
- Open your dashboard and find the site you want to change.
- Open the site's Settings panel.
- Edit the site address (subdomain) field to the new name you want.
- Save. Your site is now live at the new yourname.hostmade.co address.
What happens to my old address?
The old subdomain stops pointing to your site once you change it, so update any links you've shared (social bios, business cards, listing profiles) to the new address.
Subdomains must be unique and use letters, numbers, and hyphens. If a name is taken, try a small variation.
