How do I edit my Hostmade site?
You edit a Hostmade site by describing what you want in plain English — no forms or code. Open the editor, type something like "make the headline warmer" or "shorten the about section," and Hostmade shows you the change to accept. Accepted changes collect in a draft and publish together with one update.
How the editor works
- Open the site in your dashboard and choose Edit your site.
- Type your request in plain language and send it.
- Hostmade replies with the exact change (a before/after diff). Click Accept to add it to your draft, or Decline.
- Keep going — the conversation stays open, so you can make several changes in a row.
- When you're ready, click Update my site to publish all accepted changes at once.
What can I change with the editor?
- Text — your title, tagline, about/description, section headings and copy, FAQs, and highlights.
- Photos — set the hero, hide, feature, reorder, or swap images, and choose which photos appear in each section. See changing photos.
- Section order — reorder your page sections just by asking.
- Design — switch theme, layout, or dark mode from the editor.
- Video — change the narration or voice.
Why doesn't it change facts like guest count or price?
Details like how many guests you sleep, bed and bath counts, rates, and star ratings come from your listing, not your page copy — so the editor won't fake them. Update them on your Airbnb or Hipcamp listing and then check for listing updates, which fixes them everywhere on your site.
